Resources, References and Useful Information to Share

In an attempt to ensure transparency about our work and progress, we are happy to share reports we've created, references that might be of interest/use to others interested in conservation efforts, as well as our periodic newsletters.  Information is meant to be shared, but please be sure to cite and credit any information you use based on what we've provided here. 

General Resources Relevant to Our Work

These external publications provide useful information about New Zealand conservation efforts, as well as local-body practices or management approaches that shape our work at Hikaroroa.

HMWCG Progress Reports

We work closely with Mammalian Corrections Unit (MCU), who provide much of our operational expertise. We also collaborate with the Dunedin City Council to support conservation and biodiversity efforts in the Hikaroroa / Mt Watkin Scenic Reserve. We have received funding from Dunedin City Council, the Department of Conservation, and Otago Regional Council, and will make public any reports we provide them (always with their permission) about the work we do and progess in our conservation efforts.
