November '26 HMWCG 3-Day Community Possum Trapping Trip

It's time for our spring 3-day possum trapping trip, one of our biggest community field trips of the year! Over 3 days we'll work our way ghrough the AT220 network across the Hikaroroa landscape, servicing traps and carrying out the maintenance needed to keep the network operating effectively. It will be a great chance for people trained in AT220 operation to gain substantial practical experience while helping us tackle a big peice of the annual workload.
The trip will be facilitated by MCU staff members who will be organising the trip. We will stay the evenings in a nearby farm lodge. These events require an RSVP and will be first come, first served, so let us know if you are interested!
If this will be your first time or you would like a training refresher, please come along to our training day (Nov 7th, see separate posting). Note: to be eligible for the trip, you must attend the training day and/or already have the required knowledge. You also must be a competent tramper, who is able to safely walk off track with a pack.
