We’re looking for 4-5 experienced volunteers to join us for our next DOC200 trapping day in the Hikaroroa / Mt Watkin Scenic Reserve. These days are always a fantastic chance to get out into some spectacular country — following traplines through beautiful native forest, rugged gullies and along the Waikouaiti River. It’s hard work, but a rewarding day spent helping protect this special place.
Please note this day is suitable only for volunteers who:
Have already completed DOC200 trap training
Are comfortable walking on steep, rugged and sometimes off-track terrain
Are happy with river crossing up to thigh depth
